On Friday, December 14, 2018, celebrate the holiday season South Florida-style at the 47th Annual Boynton Beach-Delray Beach Holiday Boat Parade. Presented by the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the City of Delray Beach, this annual event has become one of the most highly anticipated holiday traditions for residents and visitors of Boynton Beach & Delray Beach. Join family, friends, and your fellow community members to revel in the spectacular show, as a parade of elaborately-decorated boats lights up the Intracoastal Waterways of Boynton Beach and Delray Beach.

The parade will begin at 6:30 pm at the Boynton Beach Inlet, where a fleet of boats adorned in lights, decorations, and holiday-themed displays will line up and then motor south to the C-15 Canal in Delray Beach. A panel of judges will present cash prize awards ranging from $300 to $500 to the most impressively decked out vessels in the following size categories: category 1- less than 25’; category 2- 26’ to 34’; category 3- 35’ or larger. For more information about the competition criteria, watercraft size categories, or the cash prize awards, please email hussaina@bbfl.us.

The main boat parade watch party will begin at 6:00 pm at the Boynton Harbor Marina, located at 735 Casa Loma Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33435. This family-friendly boat parade kick-off party will feature live music, children’s activities, and even a special visit from Old St. Nick himself. Parade attendees are welcome to pack their own snacks, chairs, and blankets to sit back, relax, and enjoy the parade from the marina lawn. In addition to the festivities and parade watch party taking place at Boynton Harbor Marina, there will be several other parade viewing areas throughout Boynton Beach and Delray including Intracoastal Park, Jaycee Park, Veterans Park, &  Knowles Park. The Boynton Beach-Delray Beach Holiday Boat Parade not only offers an incredible show & celebration to get you in the holiday spirit, but this annual local tradition also embraces the generosity and kindness of the season by benefiting the United States Marine Corp’s Toys For Tots toy drive, to ensure that every child receives a new toy this holiday season. Parade-goers are asked to support Toys For Tots by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the watch party or to the Boynton Beach CRA office prior to the night of the parade. During the parade, Sea Tow and the U.S. Marines will be traveling alongside the parade route to make pickups at each of the viewing stations and at private docks along the waterway. If you have a toy to donate to the cause, simply wave a flashlight when you see the parade of boats passing by and they will conveniently pull up to your dock to collect your toy donations.
