The Top 5 Nightlife Spots in Delray Beach | Delray Beach Nightlife
Once upon a time, Delray Beach was a sleepy little town. Those days are long over. Atlantic Avenue, once a charming throwback to the sleepy seaside vacation days, is now the happening spot to have drinks or dinner with friends from work or out of town. Outside of West Palm Beach, Delray is the liveliest city in all of Palm Beach County. Here are the top 5 nightlife spots in Delray Beach.
Hurricane Bar & Lounge
640 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483
This may be the quintessential Florida bar – it seems like a dive at first, but upon closer inspection, the good food, live music, and unpretentious Floridian comradery make this one of our favorite places to beat the summer night heat with a cold one! If you happen to hail from the great northern city of Philadelphia, Hurricane Bar and Lounge is the destination to meet fellow Eagles fans!
Johnnie Brown’s
301 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483
Come for the food and stay for the live classic rock. Johnnie Brown’s has been a fixture of Delray Beach nightlife for over a decade, but it has the old soul of an All-American roadside eatery. Its dining area is open-air, but the natives don’t seem the mind the humidity. You’ll find your favorite burgers, tacos, wings, and even perogies on the menu! We definitely recommend a stop on a classic Delray bar hop or even a boozy lunch.
Boston’s on the Beach
40 S Ocean Blvd, Delray Beach, FL 33483
Nothing beats the sea breeze off the Atlantic blowing into Boston’s on a perfect Delray night. There’s a posy seafood restaurant above, but downstairs is all downhome business. Boston has been a staple of the community for over 35 years with an eclectic performance roster of rock, blues, country, reggae, and jazz that is emblematic of all the cultures that have made the Great State of Florida their home. Honest to goodness, you can’t beat that Atlantic view and whisky (or whatever tickles your fancy). Perfect for a date, especially if you want to prove that you actually “enjoy long walks on the beach.”
Honey
16 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444
As one of Delray nightlife’s standouts, Honey combines the laid-back sensibilities of a lounge with the vibe of a nightclub. Its façade harkens back to the glory days of the 90s, but its imaginative interior design strikes a charming and irreverent medium between contemporary and classic. If you don’t care to take yourself too seriously, but still enjoy good service and a vibrant atmosphere, definitely pay a visit to this eclectic haunt.
iPic Delray
25 SE 4th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483
You might be thinking, “a movie theater?” Delray nightlife must be really sleepy! Not at all, friends. If you’re not familiar, iPic is possibly the most upscale cinema chain in the nation, sporting individual recliners and love seats with seat-side service which all elevate the movie-going experience. We promise you that we are not being paid to write that, but we can say from experience that there is no better place in Delray to impress your date on movie night. Their bar, with creative cocktails and an even more creative lounge, could be a standalone spot in itself with seating that actually hangs from the ceiling.
