Delray Beach Ice Cream | The Best Ice Cream Spots In Delray Beach

Ice cream, oh ice cream…how we adore thee. You may be the most perfect, most versatile dessert, making your way into cakes, shakes, sandwiches, Alaska (baked, not state). When we’re having a bad day, the answer? Ice cream? When it’s 95 degrees out? Ice Cream. When it’s 50 degrees out? Ice cream. Here are the places Delray Beach homeowners recommend where you’ll be guaranteed to find the best ice cream around

Different ice cream flavors in a cup

Crème Bistro

410 E. Linton Blvd, Ste 700, Delray Beach, FL 33483

Crème Bistro is a stylish place to get your fill of ice cream. They also offer a French café menu to prepare the palate for dessert. We love that it’s only a 2-minute drive from the beach, in case you need to have a stylish place to cool off (the digs are super cute and perfect for a memorable photo). The best part: your ice cream is prepared in rolls, which originated in Thailand, where the cream is poured onto a super-cooled surface where it freezes before your eyes and is scraped off into rolls of cream. Well done, Crème Bistro. Tres chic!

Brendy's Ice Cream & Yogurt

9 NE 2nd Ave Delray Beach, FL 33444

Brendy’s, just off of Atlantic Ave, packs the triple threat of ice cream, frozen yogurt, and gelato. If you’re feeling fun, fit, or fancy, that is. All are fresh and homemade and never fail to hit the spot. While other spots may be flashy, Brendy’s has the charm of your local ice cream shop from childhood. Brendy's packs an impressive set of toppings, a multitude of vegan options, and a diverse collection of classic and modern ice cream flavors. Just a quick pit stop from Atlantic Avenue under the gates of Pineapple Grove, Brendy's hits the spot!

Sloan's Ice Cream

111 B East Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483

Hot. Pink. If you’re surrounded by it, you’ve found yourself at Sloan’s, a South Florida mainstay. To describe this place in one word: whimsical. Aside from the ice cream, be prepared to be bombarded by candies and confections of all kinds. Make sure to hold the kids close, as the gift shop has proven to be a magnet. With ice cream flavors like “Minnie & Indy’s Fluffy Road” and “Richard’s Riot,” Sloan’s is anything but boring.

Kilwin’s

402 E. Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483

After many decades in the same place, Kilwin’s is a legend in Delray Beach. Indeed, it is part of a (rarified) national chain, but even those of us who know that immediately forget when the smell of baking fudge hits the nose. Kilwin’s is full of homespun charm that has barely changed since it arrived in our quiet town. Its ice cream plays the hits (butter pecan, cookies and crème, pistachio, etc), but the quality is top-tier and, while a bit pricey, you never feel that you are getting less than what you pay for. Great for a summer afternoon, or an after-dinner indulgence.
